Three performers relate themselves to spherical objects as if they were satellites. The relation of dislocation and distance between the body of the performer and the object used by him is controlled in order to be kept constant, creating the necessary dynamic effect for the development of the scene. The use of objects as appendixes of the own body creates, through an unusual situation, several possibilities of relation between the performers and the space to be occupied.

Originally produced for the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art, “Satellites” is a performance proposal to be presented at alternative spaces. The act starts inside a demarcated squared area. Later, the performers cross the lines passing through the audience inverting completely the focus and the point of view of the scene.
The surface of the place must be smooth and flat in order to avoid friction and provide the body sliding conditions and the props manipulation.
The performance set can be adapted according to different space dimensions since that adaptation allows the performers to move freely, around and behind the audience.
